Holistic Language Learning
Learning a language goes beyond learning sounds and grammatical structures.
Languages are nothing more or nothing less than the expression (in sounds and symbols) of the emotions and thoughts of each culture. Culture influence languages and languages influence cultures.
Even body posture is different in speakers of different languages. It even seems as if our personality changes when speaking one language or another.
Holistic teaching / learning approaches the topics of study in a comprehensive and integrated manner. It works by coordinating all our intelligences and addressing all aspects of the language at the same time. The comprehension, writing, pronunciation and expression of the language are worked together and with texts, videos, audios, etc. from real life -instead of standard lessons which do not prepare us to face the real experience. Likewise, our whole being participates in learning: we understand and express ourselves with our whole body, emotions, intellect, intuition, etc. So all these aspects are encouraged to participate in this learning process.
We all have several types of intelligence (linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, corporal-kinesthetic, intrapersonal, interpersonal, emotional, naturalist, existential, creative, collaborative.) Due to genetic, educational and/or social issues/circumstances, we develop or are aware of some of these intelligences rather than the others.
The Holistic language teacher detects in each student which intelligences are more developed to use them as a natural starting point for understanding, and then stimulates the rest o them so that learning develops faster and more effectively.
Memory is related to emotions. For example: we smell a perfume and an old memory comes to our minds immediately. In the same way, if our emotions participate in our memory storage of new words, grammatical structures, etc., this process will develop much faster, easier, effectively -and will last for much longer.
For this reason, the emotional intelligence is the most important of all for languages learning, since it includes both intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligence, and it comprises five elements: emotional self-consciousness, emotional self-control, self-motivation, empathy and social skills. While learning languages with the Holistic System we also learn techniques which develop the emotional intelligence, and at the same time we develop skills that minimize the effects of stress and prevent it, as well as improve emotional well-being, interpersonal relationships, work performance, etc..
Likewise, every language has a particular "music", and each person who speaks it also has their own rhythm. For this reason, musical intelligence plays an important role in learning a language, especially in the understanding when people speaks to us as well as in our own pronunciation of the language. So, Holistic Learning use songs, videos and audios to train our ears to understand the language, and singing to exercise the muscles of the face and the tongue to achieve the proper pronunciation.
By means of this combination of factors is developed the language awareness which allows learning much faster and naturally. Holistic method makes it possible to learn a language in only one third of the time required by traditional methods. And each student can move at his/her own pace, and is able to accelerate learning as much as desired.

I have a bachelors degree in psychopedagogy and I have perfected the language teaching with this method in London, England (King's School).
Also I have an international ELE certificate (Spanish Teacher for foreign students) and over 20 years teaching experience.
Besides studying several languages with different methods and teaching them now with the best system of all for over 20 years, I have studied psychology, psychopedagogy, arts and philosophy and traveled, lived, studied and worked in England, Scotland, Spain, Brazil and Argentina.
And all this experience is focused and shared on each of my classes according to the needs and concerns of my students: work, studies abroad, travel, work or study relocation, examinations, Memory / Neurological recovery or improvement -or just the pleasure of learning and getting to know new cultures.
I also prepare students to sit DELE (Argentina) and CELU (Spain) examinations.
Since I was born in Argentina to Spanish parents, I have spent part of my childhood in Spain and lived most of my life in Buenos Aires, I manage both types of Spanish.
